In the afternoon, go on an adventurous jeep safari through Minneriya National Park, which is famous for having the world’s largest seasonal elephant-amassing population. 

After your transfer to Kandy visit the UNESCO-listed Dambulla Cave Temple which is two millennia old. The five caves here have ceilings and partitions covered in ancient artwork. Go on an intriguing tour of Matales Spice Garden afterwards. 

Take a tour of the vibrant city of Kandy which offers fantastic shopping options. Shops offering a variety of Sri Lankan-specific goods ranging from gems to batiks, wood carvings and silk. See the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens first and then go to the Temple of the Tooth Relic in the evening after taking in a cultural performance. 

As you approach Nuwara Eliya the hill country located 1800 meters above sea level settle back and take in the breath-taking views of endless verdant tea fields. When travelling pause to see a tea factory and get a view of the breathtaking Ramboda Falls. Factory sparkling tea is also available for purchase when you visit the manufacturing unit outlet. In the afternoon embark on a city tour of Nuwara Eliya. 

See Hortain Plains a well-liked hiking destination and the only World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka. Take in the major sights such as Worlds End and Bakers Falls. Explore Nuwara Eliya’s other famous locations.

Take a picturesque train ride to Ella which offers breathtaking views of waterfalls and tea plantations. Explore the relaxed town of Ella for the entire day. 

Experience a Jeep Safari at Yala National Park the most popular tourist destination in recent memory. See the Asian elephants roaming freely in the wild and the leopards of Sri Lanka. 

Explore the spectacular Dutch Fort in Galle this morning. It is considered Asia’s best-preserved colonial sea stronghold. The oldest breadfruit tree on the island looks to be one of the historical sites within the citadel.
