Itinerary
Travel to Negombo a seaside town renowned for its magnificent beaches and lively fish markets after arriving in Sri Lanka. Spend the day unwinding and taking in the charms of the beach.
Visit the Chilaw temples at Mannarai and Munneswaram to start your day. These temples are well known for their beautiful architecture in addition to their religious significance. Continue your journey by travelling to Kandy the capital city known for its rich cultural heritage. Start your city tour as soon as you arrive and make the most of the Holy Temple of the Tooth Relic and the lively neighbourhood market.
While visiting Nuwara Eliya be sure to visit the two significant Ramayana sites Sri Baktha Hanuman Kovil and Seetha Amman Kovil. Experience the stunning landscape of this hill country which is well-known for its cold weather and tea plantations.
Proceed from Nuwara Eliya to Bandarawela a visually stunning hill city encircled by thick tea plantations and foggy mountains. See the peaceful Hindu shrine of Gayathri-Peedam dedicated to the goddess Gayathri and Divurumpola the location mentioned in the Ramayana where Sita is said to have met the Agni Pariksha.
