Itinerary
After arriving in the vibrant city of Colombo proceed to your lodging. Take a tour of the town in the afternoon. See the intriguing all-granite Sri Ponnambalawaneswaram Shivan Temple and the vibrant Gangarama Temple which is stuffed to the gills with artifacts.
Day 1
In the morning travel to Dambulla and make a stop at the Dambulla Cave Temple a UNESCO World Heritage Site distinguished by its exquisite rock cave paintings and Buddha statues. After exploring the temple complex proceed to Minneriya National Park for a thrilling safari experience. In addition to offering opportunities to observe a wide range of wildlife, the park is well-known for its massive elephant herds, especially during the gathering season. Following the safari spend the night in Sigiriya.
Day 2
See Pidurangala Rock for sweeping views of the old fort and the surrounding countryside. It can be considered an additional or comparable climb to Sigiriya. Savour the excitement of kayaking on Kandalamas serene waters while taking in the breathtaking views and verdant surroundings. Take in a genuine Sri Lankan village excursion.
Visit the UNESCO-designated Knuckles Mountain Range renowned for its abundant wildlife and stunning vistas. Explore the wild surroundings deep forests and various natural worlds of Knuckles by going on a trekking adventure there. Visitors can experience what it’s like to be in a desolate area with the walks breathtaking views of mist-covered mountains and obscure waterfalls.
Proceed to Kitulgala to engage in whitewater rafting activities. White water rafting allows you to experience the tides of the Kelani River. In addition, it is well-known for activities like waterfall rappelling jungle trekking and stream sliding. Finally, you can go cave exploring and enjoy bird watching.
Leave Kithulgala and head towards Negombo a coastal town well-known for its fine sandy beaches and thriving fishing community. After you get here unwind on the beach go for a boat ride around the Negombo Lagoon or browse the local stores to buy handicrafts and fresh seafood. Enjoy an exciting overnight stay to cap off the day.
